What are we?
We are a small registered charity operating in and around Weymouth in Dorset, with the aim of preparing the local population for the near- and far-future effects of a deteriorating climate. We believe that the way to achieve this is to begin to rebuild a sense of community around practical steps to tackle the climate and nature disasters.
Although we’re motivated by the most serious of topics, we believe in trying to enjoy ourselves along the way – because if you’re not getting some enjoyment out of your activism you won’t stick at it and, besides, what are we all here on this planet for anyway?

We run several projects to help build community resilience and tackle the climate crisis. Our work includes Speakeasy, our spoken word night; Growing Connections, supporting local food growers; Retrofit Weymouth, improving home energy efficiency; Community Resilience, preparing for emergencies; and Climate Hub Pop-Ups, bringing our work to communities across town.
We also host the weekly Climate Club for informal conversations, and collaborate with partners on The Circular Shop, promoting reuse and the circular economy.
